Access English Language and Literature provides a broad introduction to a variety of Literary and Non-Literary texts.  The texts studied will include a Shakespeare play, a modern novel, and a selection of poetry from Robert Browning to Carol Ann Duffy.

This course covers four distinct units, and is one of the specialist units on the Access to HE programme. It relates specifically to learners enrolled on the humanities pathway.

Access course is for students who have been out of education for a number of years and are interested in applying to university. The course offers the students a means by which they they can achieve the points needed to apply to university. It is a level three qualification that can be achieved full time in one year or part itme over two years. There is also an evening option.
